Solo Presentation

For her solo presentation with Tache during Frieze Week 2026, Léa Porré presents two new series developed for the occasion: Fatal Feast and Resplendor.

Fatal Feast presents a fragmented ritual setting: an altar, standing screens, and frames carry images of ornate cakes and jellies pierced by fantastical weapons. Drawing on ceremonial feasts, poisoned banquets, and carnivalesque displays of power, the works bring offering, celebration, and threat into the same scene. The sculptures repeat and distort the forms depicted, into icing, wax, wood, and forged metal, — extending the banquet beyond the image.

Resplendor reinterprets the visual language of traditional marquetry through digital construction. At its centre, a wheel-like emblem recalls both the radiating halo of Christian resplendors and the symbolic language of car culture. Using recurring motifs drawn from different settings, the series stages a play on known shapes. What emerges a symbolic order that feels both familiar and eerie, sacred and domestic.

Together, the two series approach the domestic as something that can become strange through repetition, ornament, and ritual: a familiar environment transformed into the set of an uncertain rite.

Alongside the presentation at Minor Attractions, Tache Gallery presents Relics, Porré’s solo exhibition at 20 Newman Street. The two presentations, located on the same street, offer parallel encounters with the artist’s expanding sculptural practice.
