Fatal Feast • 2026

Series of Sculptures, forged steel, printed frame and walnut board

Fatal Feast is a series of sculptures made from forged metal and walnut wood. Together, the works form partial remains of an unfamiliar ritual setting: a table, standing screens, and frames displaying images of ornate cakes and jellies pierced by fantastical weapons.

Drawing on imagery of ceremonial feasts, poisoned banquets, and carnivalesque displays of power, the set becomes a site of offering, hierarchy, and latent violence.

The sculptures repeat and distort the forms of the images they carry. Candle-like uprights echo the verticality of cakes and ceremonial table settings, while drips, curves, and ornamental details move between icing, wax, and forged metal. Through this repetition, the structures become excessive objects in their own right, extending the banquet beyond the printed image.

The gathering persists as a trace, caught between celebration and collapse.
