in illo tempore' is a series of installations that open the doors to glimpses of apocalyptic visions. The first iteration of this series was produced for Ianitores Terrestres (solo show at PATARA Gallery, Tbilisi, Georgia).

Composed of digitally rendered wallpapers and carved wooden sculptures, in illo tempore interlaces virtual and material worlds to evoke sites where memory, ritual, and architecture converge.

 

Doors, here, behave as both concrete objects and charged thresholds, framing the work as an encounter with passage rather than a static image. The wooden sculptures echo the controlled mechanics of entry—hinges, frames, locks—suggesting that every crossing is regulated, guarded, or negotiated. The wallpapers extend this logic into virtual architectures, functioning as illusory doorways that open onto layered temporalities where historical, mythical, and speculative spaces bleed into each other.
