LE ROI EST MORT VIVE LE ROI (2016-2017)
Series of sculptures and soudpiece
'LE ROI EST MORT, VIVE LE ROI’ exposes the idea of a fracture of the collective consciousness.
There is a direct reference to the fracture caused by the French Revolution and thus explores forms of power that are not mainstream (legitimism).
At the same time, this work questions our relation to the Past and our perception of it as an ideal form, challenging the Ruin porn trend, a fetish for decaying architecture.
'LE ROI EST MORT, VIVE LE ROI' as exhibited in Venice at Palazzo Ca'Zanardi : at ANIMA MUNDI : RITUALS by Its Liquid Group (during the Art Biennale, May-July 2017)
